I know... This picture is too cute for words. Wayde and I were just talking about how Skylar hangs on his big brother so much. They really love each other. Just last night, May 5th of 09' Skylar was lying on the floor when he heard the clunk of daddy's chair. That clunk means daddy has put the recliners foot rest down and is getting ready to tickle Skylar. It didn't take long for laughter to erupt. Daddy was laughing to add to the tickling. Skylar was laughing from being tickled and Wayde and I were laughing to see how much fun they were having. But it didn't last long. At least not long enough for Skylar. As daddy sat on his chair to get his strength back Skylar lay begging, "Daddy tickle meeee." Daddy sighed at first and said, "Oh buddy I just can't now." But when Skylar coaxed just a little more daddy just had to muster up a little more energy. Brad looked at me with that sad longing for just a bit more umph. Then slid onto the floor to give Skylar just a little more love. When daddy just had no more, Wayde took over. Hmmmm, God is good.

May 6, 2009 Kerstetters family update
|
This is the latest concerning our struggle with Brad's health. The ulcerative colitis is now called ulcerative
proctitis because Brad has no colon. It is NOT, PRAISE GOD, cancerous...yet. I say yet because it will
inevitably turn to cancer unless God intervenes. God is going to do what He wants to do and we love and trust
Him. While we are glad in our hearts that we are not dealing with more cancer we are still struggling with
bleeding. The bleeding has not stopped and is fact bad some days. Some of you are familiar and know how
this wears a body down. We tried natural remedies as far as diet, but to no avail yet. He has lost a lot of weight
and stamina. Our last several concerts have been difficult for him to get through. He just loses energy.
Many of you are praying for a miracle. Please don't stop!!!
I want to make something very clear in this update. Our updates are not meant to prompt you to pity. But rather
to encourage you to stay faithful to God. We have had several people tell us that their prayer life has become
stronger because of praying for Brad.
Listen... we do not fear the future. We know that God will heal Brad and allow him to keep serving Him here on
Earth, or God will take Brad to glory where he will never hurt again. That is up to God. We do not pray for our
will to be done. We have surrendered these earthy bodies to be used by God as He sees fit. The final end is
secured. It's the everyday struggles that we need encouraged through.
We implore you to keep praying that God will continually strengthen our souls, our spirits. There is so much
work to be done. There are so many hurting families that need to know how good walking in the will of the Lord
is.
Listen... God has put His arms around us through you. He has cried with us, through you. He has soothed our
hurts, through you. He has supplied all our needs, through you. And we are grateful.
Please friends, remain faithful. Keep your eyes fixed on the eastern sky. Watch for Jesus' return. Do all you
can to build God's kingdom. Love each other. Die to yourselves and the desires for earthly things that leave
you empty. Fall more in love with God's precious holy Word, the story of our blessed Redeemer, Jesus Christ.
Please, pray without ceasing. We love you all so much!!!!
